Lyss Stern is the founder and president of Divalysscious Moms, catering to New York’s well- heeled and trendsetting moms.  In eight short years, Lyss’s company started with 6 followers, and now boasts 380,000, escalating her influence and followers to becoming the most coveted database in not only New York, but worldwide.

Lyss is also the co-author of IF YOU GIVE A MOM A MARTINI….100 ways to find 10 Blissful Minutes for Yourself… and has authored two additional books she plans to launch in 2013. Her first book has just been optioned to be made into a motion major film.

In 2003, after the birth of her first son, Lyss searched but could not find a single company catering to the needs of a new mother unwilling to give up her high heels and make-up in order to embrace the life-changes brought upon by motherhood.  She combined her creative skills, chic sense of style, networking abilities, love of children, and dual masters’ degree in communications and early education to create Divalysscious Moms.

Lyss began her writing career with a weekly column, “Divalyssciously Yours,” for the style section of The New York Sun.   She was also the lifestyle correspondent for Cookie Magazine, sharing her extensive knowledge and advice on the magazine’s media channel CookieVision.  She has appeared as a guest on NBC’s Today show, CNBC, MSNBC, Wall Street Journal, Daily News and a variety of others.

We are so inspired by Lyss and are honored to not only feature her as a CrushworthyMom but consider her a friend.  We love Lyss!!  xx

Lyss’s Crushworthy Secrets:

Crushworthy Makeup  and Hair Secrets:

My amazing hair stylist, Eugene at the Ayervais Salon , always makes me feel my most fabulyss after giving me one of his perfect blow outs. He somehow manages to tame my full, long head of hair like I never can. He’s a true miracle worker and therapist. Eugene has been seeing me at least twice a week for the past 15 years.

I can’t leave home with out my By Terry Rose Balm lipgloss. This product makes my lips super luxe.

Crushworthy Tips and Tricks:

Erika Bloom Pilates are my saving grace to stretch me out and get me back into a focused place. Flywheel Sports is where I go when I want to sweat for my workout. Obsessed with both!

The Juice Press is just down the street from my apartment, and I love going there after a workout to grab a custom-created juice mix to round out a healthy morning routine. My favorite is the Fountain of Youth filled with lots of organic berries.

Crushworthy Uniform. If you had to pick FIVE staples of your wardrobe, what would they be?

  1. Definitely my skinny jeans
  2. I never leave home with out my Elsa Peretti X earrings, they were a gift from my grandmother.
  3. My Vintage Chanel black tote, serves as my day bag and work bag
  4. Ramy Brook tops
  5. Isabel Marant Sneakers

Crushworthy Restaurant or Date Night:  Nobu 57 for Sushi and Elio’s for Italian

Crushworthy Guilty Pleasure:

The “Fifty Shades” book trilogy by E.L. James. I was telling my friends and DivaMoms to read these books before they hit on a national scale. I knew they were going to be huge, and I made sure to let all my friends know about them!

Crushworthy Trip:

Anywhere warm with a beach! I just took a trip to the Bahamas with my husband and found my perfect Divalysscious beach house. You must go… The West Hill House, Old Fort Bay Bahamas.

Crushworthy Kid Product: Plum Organics. My boys are obsessed with the Mash-ups, and my assistant snacks on the fruit bars when she’s working. Everything is delysscious, and it makes me feel good to know my boys are putting good, healthy snacks in their bodies and enjoying them as much as I do!

Crushworthy Home:

In my office, I have a wall of art my boys make in school and summer camp. This wall never fails to make me smile.

And what makes someone Crushworthy to you?

A mom who feels truly Fabulyss about all the amazing work they do. As we all know, being a mom is the hardest and most rewarding job in the world. As I always say, “Happy moms make happy kids!” and we need to take some time for ourselves to be the best mom that we can be.
